4 and 8 Hours Mountain Bike Race

Saturday 14th April 2012

Come and ride this course, a mixture of forest roads and non technical single track riding.

The lap of 10km and only a little climb should take average ability riders about 45minutes to complete. The whole event will be run in daylight, so no need for expensive lighting systems, based out of the Forest Camp grounds, so great facilities and plenty of space to enjoy the MTB Village atmosphere, with time in the evening to enjoy the other delights of Hanmer Springs. Coffee and food will be available on site.

Four hour riders can expect to do between 4 and 5 laps, so maybe two member teams would suit, or perhaps you might want to muscle it out as a solo.

Starting at the Forest Camp on Jollies Pass Road the circuit goes:

Up Black Dog

Up Mac 1

Up McIntyre to the picnic area

Down Upper Dog Creek

Up over Jolliffe Road

Down Timberlands Trail

Lower Redrock

Cross the road over to the Heritage Trails

Back to Forest Camp

Why should I upgrade to Internet Explorer 7? Microsoft has redesigned Internet Explorer from the ground up, with better security, new capabilities, and a whole new interface. Many changes resulted from the feedback of millions of users who tested prerelease versions of the new browser. The most compelling reason to upgrade is the improved security. The Internet of today is not the Internet of five years ago. There are dangers that simply didn't exist back in 2001, when Internet Explorer 6 was released to the world. Internet Explorer 7 makes surfing the web fundamentally safer by offering greater protection against viruses, spyware, and other online risks.
