Test of Time is an eclectic group of musicians drawing on a wide range of musical influences from the ridiculous to the sublime. The group has a core in Hanmer Springs with some members travelling regularly from Christchurch. The group has been playing together for over three years now, originally forming to stage a series of Eagles tribute concerts in 2009 performing in Hanmer Springs, Ashburton and Timaru. In 2011 the band performed two fundraising concerts to benefit victims of Christchurch’s February earthquake. The shows included material from one member’s earlier Neil Diamond tribute show, Eagles songs and a generous sampling of kiwi music.
