Hanmer Half
Race Info
Saturday 3 May, 2025
The Hanmer Half Marathon takes competitors on a unique journey through Hanmer Forest amongst amazing mountain scenery.
Course
After an initial 2km climb the route follows forest roads to a split at Jollies Pass Road. Here the half marathon takes participants through the main block of forest before linking up with the 10km route to run through the flat Heritage forest and a final sprint down the road to finish at Hanmer School.
The final 5km course follows Jollies Pass Road for 2km where it joins the 10km and half marathon for the finish.
Walkers
Walkers are welcome on each distance, however due to marshal constraints the marshals will move from their positions in the half marathon once the last runner has passed.
Walkers must keep to the left to allow runners to pass and must not block the course. You must walk if entered as a walker, if you are seen to be running or jogging you will be disqualified.

Layered clothing, hat, sunscreen, insect repellent, hydration pack, survival blanket, energy bar. Please do not wear headphones as this limits your ability to hear directions from marshals and hazards.

The Prize giving ceremony will be held at the finish area at Hanmer School at approx 2.30pm or when the final results are received. Prizes will be awarded to the first three Male & Female finishers in the Half Marathon, 10k and 5k events. As well as this there is a large amount of spot prizes to be won.
